Some time ago, Google launched Google Sidewiki which he said is one of the new way to share information across the web. This new Google Toolbar feature allows you to contribute your own insights to each web page, and read the information shared by other people right in the browser sidebar.
Google Sidewiki uses a special algorithm to display the relevance of the most useful entries first, and also has a built-in technology to display your entry on other sites that contain the same piece of text.
